Meet the owners

Chris and Lauren have both been kayaking at Talladega Creekside Resort for years, when the opportunity arose for them to become managers of TCR! The two of them became managers in 2020 before becoming the owners in 2022. Today, Chris and Lauren are living out their dream of owning a campground all while sharing their little slice of heaven with their friends and family like you.

MEET THE BUSES

Our buses play one of the most important roles in our operation. The buses provide transportation for our rental equipment and guests. Each bus offers a unique and safe shuttle to the drop-off location.

The Drop-off

Our drop-off location is located at 200 Cedar Springs Rd Munford, AL. The drop-off is where guests with their OWN PERSONAL equipment should take their equipment and people before heading to the campground location. The drop-off is also where guests renting rental equipment should take their parties of three or more before heading to the campground location. The drop off is where you start your floating journey on the creek. Just a friendly reminder that there should never be any vehicles left at the drop off, nor should vehicles park on the gravel drive to unload equipment (It causes congestion when our buses are trying to make their route). The drop-off location gate locks at 2:45pm and does not re-open until 8:00am the next business day.

The CAMPGROUND

The campground is located at 760 Lake Whitland Drive Talladega, AL. For those coming to stay the night with us the campground offers peaceful cabins and RV sites all with a creek-side view! For those coming to kayak or tube with us the campground features the garage where we load your rental equipment, the office, the parking lot where you will be instructed to park your vehicle, and a bathhouse with showers and restrooms at the convivence of our guests. The campground is where you end your float, there is an exit flag and steps to help guests get the equipment and themselves out of the water easily.

THE CREEK

Alabama the beautiful is surrounded with multiple creeks and streams in the state, but Cheaha Creek is the creek you bask in while visiting with us at Talladega Creekside resort! The fish often seen the most are spot bass, largemouth bass, red eye bass, rock bass, carp, brim, catfish, and stripe bass.. but you can't forget about the occasional creek critter like an otter! Cheaha creek is spring fed, so it typically stays a cool 68 degrees year round, which makes taking your first step in on a hot day that much sweeter!
